Just found out most avionics failures trace back to one common cause

I was reading through some FAA service difficulty reports last night and saw that nearly 40% of avionics issues come from bad grounding or bonding. It surprised me because I always assumed it was component failures. Has anyone else noticed that pattern in their shop?

Oh wow, that's wild! Grounding issues are way more sneaky than I'd have guessed.

Right? I swear my house has some kind of hidden agenda with grounding (I've been zapped more times than I'd like to admit, haha). @adams.vera, you nailed it - it's the kind of problem where everything looks fine until you touch something metal and get that little jolt. One time I grounded a stereo and it just made the hum worse, which is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
