Fixed a stubborn wiring fault with a simple continuity check that I kept skipping

Spent 3 hours chasing a ground fault on a Garmin G5000 install, swapping LRUs and checking pins. Finally did a basic continuity test from the harness end and found a pin that was barely seated in the D-sub connector. Has anyone else wasted time over something this stupid?

Totally been there, @jessica_miller. My "quick fix" once took three days.

Read a similar story about a guy who spent a whole day troubleshooting an autopilot issue only to find a single loose screw on a ground block. It's wild how easy it is to skip the simple checks when you're already deep in the system. Definitely a reminder to always start with the basics before swapping parts.

Ain't that the truth, keeps you humble though doesn't it?
