A ramp guy in Tulsa showed me his 20 year old wire crimper and I've been thinking about it for a month
Was doing a pitot static check on a King Air last month in Tulsa and the ramp guy watched me struggle with a brand new ratcheting crimper that kept slipping on 22 gauge wire. He pulled out this beat up Daniels crimper with tape on the handle and said he'd been using it since 2004 without a single bad crimp. He let me try it and the thing just clicked perfectly every time, no guessing, no redoing terminals. Ordered my own used one off eBay for 85 bucks that same night and I've already stopped cussing at wire. Anybody else got a tool that's way older than it should be but still beats everything new?
