Spent $75 on a warranty for a used Civic, then the AC died in July
I bought the extended plan mostly to shut my dad up, and when the compressor went out at 95 degrees in Phoenix, the shop found the paperwork and covered everything except a $50 deductible, so has anyone else had a warranty company actually pay without a fight?

Man, you got lucky with that shop actually finding the paperwork. I had a third party warranty on a truck once and they paid for a new water pump after I bugged them for two weeks straight. The trick is to call the warranty company before the shop starts any work, that way there is no surprise about what gets covered.
