My mechanic in Akron talked me out of the extended warranty and I think he was wrong
My mechanic Dave told me last Tuesday to skip the $1,800 extended warranty on my 2019 Civic and just set the money aside instead. I did the math and one transmission job would eat that whole stash, so his advice only works if nothing big breaks. Everyone on here acts like extended warranties are always a scam, but Dave's the same guy who quoted me $2,400 for a repair that a $300 part fixed. Has anyone actually used one of these and come out ahead?
