My dealer claim took 31 days and 4 phone calls, and everyone acts like that's normal
My water pump went out on my 2019 Civic in April and the dealer kept saying the powertrain warranty covered it, then kept pushing the repair back a week at a time for a month straight. Everyone on here says just be patient with dealer claims, but 4 calls and a trip to the service manager in person in Tucson finally got it approved, and I still had to pay a $100 diagnostic fee they never told me about upfront. Why does this forum act like waiting a month on a warranty claim is just how it works?
Wait, they made you pay a $100 diagnostic fee on a warranty repair? That seems wild to me, like if the repair is covered under warranty why are you paying anything at all. I get that shops charge a diag fee for stuff that is not covered, but tacking it on after they already told you the powertrain warranty had it is just shady. No wonder you had to go stand in the service manager's office to get anything done.
