Dealer's 'recommended' maintenance list made me question everything

Took my 2018 Silverado in for an oil change last month in Columbus and the service guy hands me a list with 400 dollars of extra work. Fuel system cleaning, transmission flush at 60k, and some engine treatment I never heard of. I called my old mechanic who I trust and he said half of that is marked up junk that could actually cause issues if done too early. Now I'm torn between following the dealer schedule to keep the warranty intact or listening to someone who's worked on my trucks for 15 years. The warranty paperwork says I need to follow the manufacturer's maintenance, but it doesn't spell out exactly what counts. Has anyone else fought this battle and either skipped the extras with no problem or got denied a claim because you didn't do them? I'm leaning toward the basic oil changes and documented receipts only, but I want to hear what happened to others before I make the call.

Yeah but that warranty fine print will screw you faster than your old mechanic's advice will save you, trust me.
