Update: I stopped using my phone as a light meter and my night shots got way better
Honestly I always trusted the app on my phone for metering my film shots, but I tried a $15 Sekonic Twinmate last week and suddenly my night shots in downtown Portland came out properly exposed for the first time. I learned the phone screen glow was messing with my eyes' read of the scene. Anyone else had a cheap meter beat their phone in low light?
