Showerthought: the guy at the Portland swap meet told me to skip the belt check on a $20 turntable, and now I have a $20 doorstop
He said the belt is always fine on those old units and I believed him because he had a booth full of them. Got it home, put on a copy of Rumours, and the platter spun so slow it sounded like a funeral march. Anyone got a trick for finding replacement belts, or should I just bring a rubber band to the next swap like a weirdo?

Belt check skip? Take it further: check the motor mounts too.
