My Minolta X-700 meter went dark mid-roll in Portland yesterday
Was shooting some fall colors in Forest Park and the light meter just quit on me halfway through a 36 exposure roll. Had to guess the rest of the shots by sunny 16 rule - has anyone else had their old camera electronics just give up without warning?

My Nikon FE did the same thing at Silver Falls last year. Frustrating!

Classic Minolta electronics, am I right? Mine died on a perfectly sunny day in Yosemite, just as I was shooting Half Dome. Guess you're part of the "shoot by vibes" club now, hope you nailed those fall colors by squinting at the sun. Maybe the meter just got scared of all that Portland fog.
