Finally got my old Technics turntable running again after 6 months

Honestly, I used to just stream everything on my phone through a Bluetooth speaker, but after finding my dad's old SL-1200 in the basement, I spent last weekend fixing the pitch control and replacing the belt. It took me three tries to get the speed right, but now it's spinning vinyl from a $5 thrift store find in Chicago. Anyone else go through a frustrating repair that ended up being worth the hassle?

Yeah, the pitch control is always the first thing to go on those. A little Deoxit in the pots usually fixes it right up if it starts drifting again later.

Why not just buy a new turntable that works right?
