Drove 40 miles to a flea market in Akron for a dusty Pioneer receiver, the seller's tape deck blew my mind

That guy had a reel-to-reel setup playing through the receiver with original 1970s speakers, and it sounded better than any modern digital setup I've heard, so has anyone else stumbled on a hidden audio gem at a random swap meet, or am I just easily impressed?

The part about the tape deck blowing your mind got me, because my buddy Mike found a Marantz turntable at a garage sale for twenty bucks last year. The guy selling it just wanted it gone, and it was covered in dust and cat hair, but Mike cleaned it up and it plays perfectly with zero noise. He still brags about it every time we hang out, so yeah, you're not easily impressed, those gems are out there if you're willing to dig.
