Bought a tube tester at a flea market in Akron for $12 and it saved my grandfather's old TV
Two decades back I'd just swap tubes until the picture came on, but now I test each one first and know exactly which is dead before I touch the set. Anyone else keep a tester on the bench, or do you still play the swap game?
What tester did you end up with for 12 bucks? Curious if it handles the older 4 pin tubes or just the newer stuff. I've been swapping blind for years and it gets old fast.
