TIL my air fryer bacon problem was the rack, not the settings, and it cost me 3 weekends
I spent 3 straight Saturdays messing with temps from 350 to 400 trying to get crispy bacon without a grease pool, and it kept coming out chewy in the middle. Turns out my basket sits too close to the bottom, so I put a cheap wire rack from Dollar Tree in there and suddenly it drains right. I felt like a genius and an idiot at the same time. Has anyone else had a rack fix a problem they blamed on the machine?
My buddy Dave spent two months blaming his grill for uneven burgers, then figured out his patio was sloped about an inch and one side of the grate sat higher. Same thing with my printer last year, kept jamming and I was ready to toss it, turned out the paper tray wasn't clicked all the way in. Half the stuff we call "broken" is really just sitting wrong. We want it to be the machine's fault because that means a new one would fix it, but most of the time it's some boring little thing like a rack or a tilt or a loose clip. Cheap fix, hurt feelings.
