Pro tip: Mark your jars after a pantry clean-up

I was sorting my pantry and grabbed cinnamon instead of chili powder. My air fryer tofu came out tasting like dessert gone wrong. What's your best method for avoiding spice mix-ups?

Do you even have a system right now or are you just grabbing random jars? Clearly whatever you're doing isn't working.

Oh man, I felt that! My pantry was a total mess of random containers last year. What finally clicked was just picking one type of jar, like all mason jars, and sticking with that. I got clear ones so I could see everything, and now I just refill them from big bags. It seems simple, but having everything match makes it so much easier to keep track.

I read in a cooking magazine last month about using colored labels for spices. You just put a red dot on hot spices and a green dot on mild ones. It sounds silly but it really helps you grab the right jar fast. After my own mix-up with cumin and cinnamon, I started doing this. Now my pantry is way less confusing.
