Nobody warned me that air fryer bacon smells up the whole apartment for 2 days
Last Tuesday I finally caved and made bacon in my air fryer at 375 for 10 minutes because everyone online swears it's the best way. The bacon came out great, crispy and the grease was way easier to deal with than a pan. But my whole 700 square foot place smelled like a diner for two days straight, even with the window open and a candle going. I'm in an apartment in Cleveland so I can't exactly just grill outside. Does anyone have a trick for the smell, or am I just stuck picking between good bacon and a normal smelling place?
Honestly the smell is just part of the deal with air fryer bacon, it gets into the coils and the fan blows it everywhere. I've had way better luck just baking it on a sheet pan with foil, still crispy and the oven doesn't stink up half as bad. Two days of diner smell for ten minutes of bacon is not a trade I'm making.
