My air fryer basket handle snapped off while I was making dinner last night

I was pulling out a batch of frozen fries, gave it a good tug, and the plastic handle just broke clean off. It happened around 7 PM, right when I was getting hungry. I had to use tongs to carefully lift the hot basket out for the rest of the night. Anyone know a good way to fix this, or am I just buying a whole new basket?

Check if the basket is still under warranty first. Plastic handles snapping is a common weak point, but you might get a free replacement part. I fixed mine with a high-heat epoxy rated for kitchen appliances, and it's held strong for over a year now.

Oh man, my buddy did the epoxy fix on his air fryer basket too. He used that JB Weld stuff, sanded the plastic a little for grip, and wrapped it with a ton of electrical tape while it dried. It looked messy but that basket is still kicking two years later.

Had the same thing happen with my old one. I used JB Weld Plastic Bonder epoxy, the kind that works on high heat, and clamped it overnight. It's still holding up fine, like @emery879 said, that stuff really works. Just make sure you clean the broken parts really well first.
