Is a $40 air fryer liner worth it or a total scam?

I dropped 40 bucks on those silicone reusable liners for my basket last month and they do keep the cleanup easy, but they also made my fries less crispy because the air cant hit the bottom right. My buddy swears by the cheap parchment paper circles that cost like 5 dollars for a pack, saying they crisp better but tear on him every other use. Which one has actually worked for you guys long term, or am I just wasting money on both?
