Hit 500 air fryer meals last week and it felt weird
I started counting my air fryer meals back in January mostly out of curiosity. Last Tuesday I hit 500 exactly with a batch of buffalo cauliflower wings. That number surprised me because I honestly thought I'd use the thing for frozen fries and chicken tenders and that's it. But somewhere around meal 200 I started experimenting with salmon and Brussels sprouts and even baking small loaves of banana bread in a silicone pan. The air fryer now runs almost every day in my kitchen and my regular oven barely gets touched. What's the highest meal count anyone else has tracked with their air fryer?

Five hundred meals tracked in a notebook though... that's a lot of effort for some buffalo cauliflower. I get counting if you're trying to save money or figure out what cook times work but at some point you're just keeping a log for the sake of keeping a log. My air fryer sits on the counter and I just throw whatever in there until it looks done, no notebook needed. Burning broccoli once or twice taught me more than any list of times ever would. Feels like you turned a kitchen gadget into a part-time job.

500 is impressive, I'm only at 312 since I started tracking in March. My best tip for keeping it interesting is to rotate three proteins per week so you don't get bored, chicken thighs one night, shrimp the next, then maybe tofu for a change of pace. One thing that helped me was keeping a small notebook on the counter to jot down cook times and temps for new recipes, especially for veggies like broccoli and asparagus that burn fast if you're not careful.
