Hit 500 air fryer meals in 8 months and here is what I think
I see everyone raving about how an air fryer is just a mini convection oven. But after cooking 500 meals in mine, I think they are totally different tools. The heat is way more direct and faster. My regular oven takes 20 minutes to preheat. The air fryer is ready in 3. Plus, I can get a crisp on veggies that my oven never could. Why does everyone act like they are the same thing? Has anyone else noticed a big difference?

Oh, I read a food blog post recently that said the same thing. The author tried making roasted broccoli in both and said the air fryer gave it this nice char and crunch that the oven just couldn't match. I have to agree. I've had my air fryer for about a year now and the difference in cooking speed is huge. My oven takes forever, and it makes the kitchen hot. The air fryer does a better job with things like frozen fries and chicken wings too. They come out much crispier.

Huh, I was totally against air fryers before but this kinda makes me reconsider.
