Had to warn a guy at Target about his air fryer bacon mistake
I was standing in the appliance aisle last Saturday and this dude grabs a $40 air fryer, telling his friend he's gonna cook bacon in it every morning. I had to stop him because I ruined my first one doing that same thing. Bacon grease splatters everywhere and drips down into the heating element, causing smoke and a fire risk. I pointed him to a liner kit for $6 and told him to pat the bacon dry first. Has anyone else had to warn a stranger about air fryer bacon?

My sister tried the same thing and ended up setting off her smoke detector at 6am. Her whole apartment building had to evacuate and she was standing outside in her robe holding a bag of burnt bacon.
