Bagged wings vs. fresh wings in the air fryer - which side are you on?

Got into an argument with my buddy at a tailgate in Philly last weekend. He swears frozen bagged wings come out crispier, but I've been buying fresh split wings and they never dry out on me. Which way do you go and why?

Agree with your buddy on the crispiness thing, bagged wings win for me every time.

Pretty sure you meant "bagged wings" are the crispy ones, @andrew854, but the whole point of restaurant wings is that fresh fryer texture (you know, the kind that doesn't get soggy from sitting in a bag). That's the tradeoff, I guess.
