All these frozen taquito recipes popping up
Gave it a shot and my air fryer handled it fine. The result was decent, but I'm not convinced it's worth the hype.

Totally get what you mean, tried them in my air fryer too. They came out fine, but honestly nothing special (just kinda basic frozen food). Definitely not worth all the noise people are making about them.

Funny how the frozen food companies are probably changing their recipes now just for air fryers. Might explain why some brands turn out weirdly better than others, even if the box doesn't say it. The texture ends up totally different than oven baking.

That point about frozen food companies changing recipes for air fryers is interesting. How do we know if they actually changed the recipe? I tried two different brands and one was way crispier, but both boxes had the same oven instructions. Is the difference just from the air fryer itself, or did something change in the factory?

My buddy at the food plant said they switched the coating on their nuggets last year just for air frying, didn't change the box at all. That's probably why one brand got way crispier for you. It's kinda sneaky they don't tell us.
