That $20 winch blanket I bought is a total scam

Picked one up off Amazon before a trip to Moab last month and it started fraying after maybe 3 pulls on my 12k winch. The edges are just cheap nylon wrapped around some fiberglass, not the woven stuff they show in the pics. Anyone else get a durable one under $50 that actually holds up to heavy use or should I just weld up a chain guard instead?

Did you actually read the ratings before you bought it, or did you just sort by price and assume a 20 dollar blanket was gonna act like a 80 dollar one? Mine's a 40 dollar random brand and it's held up fine after a season of rocks and mud, but I also don't run a 12k with a snatch block on every pull. Maybe the issue is you're putting way more stress on the blanket than what it's rated for, not that every cheap one is trash. What exactly were you pulling, because that matters more than the blanket brand in my book.
