Swapped to 35s and saw a crazy difference in ride quality over 2 months
I put a set of 315/70R17 KO2s on my Tacoma back in April and the first week felt rough, lots of wandering on the highway. After about 1,200 miles they settled in and now it rides way smoother than the 33s I had before, especially on gravel roads near Flagstaff. The bigger sidewall really absorbs the washboard stuff without shaking my teeth out. Has anyone else noticed their truck driving totally different after break-in on bigger tires?

, though I also forgot to air down after swapping and spent a whole day driving around wondering why it felt like I was wrestling a shopping cart. Lowered the pressure based on the chalk test and suddenly my Tacoma rode smoother than my buddy's stock F150 on washboard roads. Maybe it's just me being slow to learn, but that break-in plus correct pressure combo genuinely made me stop dreading the drive to the trailhead.

Drop the pressure a bit and they'll ride even softer after that first thousand miles.
