Surprised to learn my leaf springs were the cheap part of this build

Been running the same pack for years on my old F-150, and last week I finally looked up the part number to order spares. Found out these specific springs come off a factory military truck and cost about $90 each. Everything else I put on this thing, shocks, mounts, hardware, cost way more than that. Must have read three forum threads before I believed it. Anyone else find out a stock part was secretly the bargain of their whole rig?
