Stumbled on a cheap way to test shock absorbers at home
Read somewhere that you can check if your shocks are shot by pushing down on each corner of the bumper and counting the bounces. If it bounces more than twice, they're bad. Tried it on my '97 Tacoma last week and sure enough, rear left bounced 4 times. Anyone else use this trick before dropping cash on new ones?
