Spent 6 months obsessing over suspension geometry until a guy at Moab Off-Road Park set me straight

He said I was overcomplicating it and just needed to flex out the axle on a ramp to see what actually binds, not run calculations for fun. Now I'm swapping my fancy coilovers for leaf springs on my Samurai build - has anyone else gone backwards on their suspension setup?

Going from coils back to leafs... that's a bold move, hope it works out better than that time I tried to tune my shocks with a calculator and a blindfold.

Sounds like you were setting your rebound to "full dumb".

Dude, I feel that. @carr.james I bet your blindfold method still worked better than my attempt at tuning with a harbor freight multimeter and pure guesswork. Spent three days chasing a weird bounce on my F-150 and ended up with the rear shocks set to full stiff like a go-kart. Had to pull over every 20 miles on the highway because my spine couldn't take it.
