Rant: my buddy in Flagstaff says lockers before lift, and now I'm second guessing my whole build order
I was on the phone with my buddy Dave last week, he's got a built Tacoma up in Flagstaff, and he goes "why are you saving for a 3 inch lift when your rear diff is still open?" I'd been planning the lift for 6 months, had the shocks picked out and everything. His point was that a locker gets you further on a stock height truck than a lift gets you with open diffs, and honestly I couldn't argue with him. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out if I drop $1,200 on a rear locker first or stick with the lift plan. What did you guys do first on your builds, and would you do it the same way again?
