Overheard a guy say his rig runs better in the rain and now I'm questioning everything

Stopped at a gas station in Vegas last Saturday and heard this dude in a beat-up Tacoma tell his buddy that his 4x4 only runs smooth when it's raining. He swore it was the moisture messing with his carb or something. I've spent $1,200 chasing a weird shudder on my Jeep that only shows up on dry pavement, so maybe I should just drive in storms forever. Has anyone else had a random weather condition that seemed to fix a mystery issue?

Man, that Tacoma guy might be onto something. My own truck has a ghost misfire that only shows up when the air pressure drops, so I've considered moving to Seattle just to keep it happy. $1,200 in parts later and the thing still acts up on sunny days, but throw in some drizzle and it purrs like a kitten. Makes me wonder if I should just invest in a lawn sprinkler and park over it during dry spells.
