My buddy's 'simple' axle swap in his garage turned into a 3-day nightmare

We planned a weekend to swap his Dana 44, but a seized pinion nut and stripped bolt heads (from a previous owner, of course) blew that timeline apart. Anyone ever have a 'quick' project go completely sideways like that?
