Last summer my tailgate latch broke on a forest service road. A guy in a rusty pickup showed me how to secure it with a zip tie and a stick. It feels like we've lost something by not sharing those simple fixes anymore. Now we just call for help or watch a video instead of learning from the person right next to us.

Miss that, @ericgonzalez. Feels like a lost art.

Man, that's so true. @ericgonzalez really nailed it about just watching a video now. The weird part is we have more ways to connect than ever, but the actual skill of asking the person next to you for help is dying. It's like we're all alone together, staring at our screens for answers that might be standing right there. That quick chat while fixing something built a tiny bit of trust you just don't get from a tutorial.
