A buddy told me my front bumper was trash and he was right

I spent months on this custom tube bumper for my 2005 Tacoma, thought it looked tough. A guy at the local off-road park in Bend pointed out the winch mount was angled wrong and would bind under load. He showed me his setup and explained how the fairlead needs to sit perfectly level. I ended up cutting off the whole mount plate and re-welding it last weekend. First pull with the winch yesterday was night and day difference. Anybody else have a friend save them from a dumb mistake on their build?

Whoa hold on, isn't that just part of the learning process though? If you never mess up a weld or a mount angle you never really figure out why it matters on the trail. Sounds like that guy just gave you the push to make your setup actually work right, which is a win in my book.
