A buddy in Moab made me rethink how I pack my recovery gear
Was out near Moab last month and this guy I met at a camp spot watched me unpack all my straps and shackles from the back. He asked why I keep everything loose in a plastic bin. Said in 20 years of wheeling he's seen more damage from flying recovery gear in a rollover than actual trail accidents. Told me to bolt a small locking box to the bed or cab and strap the heavy stuff down separate. Never really thought about it that way. Has anyone else had gear become a projectile on a hard bounce?
