Changed my mind about painting my front door after seeing a neighbors house

Honestly, I was dead set on painting my front door black for like a month. Then last weekend I walked past a house on Maple Street in my neighborhood where they did that and it just looked like a dark hole in the wall. Now I'm leaning toward a deep navy blue after talking to the paint guy at Sherwin-Williams about how it reflects light better. Has anyone tried navy with brass hardware and regretted it?

Did you try a sample card first? Navy hides dirt way better than black.

My buddy Dave from work actually went navy after I gave him the same advice. He ordered the sample card for both colors and held them up against his car in different lighting. @harper_wright you were spot on about the navy hiding dirt better - he drove through a mud puddle last week and you could barely tell. The black sample showed every single speck of dust after just two days parked outside. He's been texting me photos for weeks comparing them and the navy wins every time.
