That antique store in Columbus had a whole bin of vintage hand tools for $5 each

I was down in Columbus last month visiting my sister and stopped by this antique place near German Village. They had this big metal bin just shoved in the corner with old hand tools, like planes and wrenches from the 40s and 50s, all priced at $5 a piece. I picked up a Stanley plane that just needed a little cleaning and it works way better than the cheap modern one I got at a big box store. Anyone else had good luck finding older tools at antique shops instead of paying full price?

Save your money and grab the old Stanley. Way better than new junk.

Oh man, yes! I found this old Disston handsaw at a shop in Dayton for like $8. Sharpened it up and it cuts like butter. Those new saws from the hardware store are garbage compared to it. I swear they just don't make tools like they used to. The metal is thicker and the handles actually fit your hand right. I've been hunting for old tools ever since, it's addicting.
