Shoutout to the $15 Harbor Freight pick set that saved my truck last weekend

My 2001 F-150 threw a code on Saturday and the MAF sensor connector clip snapped clean off, but one of those little angled picks hooked the broken tab out of the wiring harness in about 30 seconds, has anyone else had cheap picks bail them out of a weird spot?

The cheap pick sets really are the unsung heroes of roadside repairs. That same set helped me fish a shredded serpentine belt piece out of a pulley once when the only other option was towing it 20 miles. Just goes to show you don't need Snap-On prices to get out of a bind, just the right tool and a little luck. What's the weirdest fix you've pulled off with one of those things?

Keep calling them unsung heroes like they saved you from a wildfire or something. It's a pick set, not a defibrillator. I mean yeah they’re handy for grabbing stuff in tight spots, but let’s not act like it’s a miracle tool.
