Tell me more about how warm water helps. What specific things have you noticed it doing better? I've heard it can loosen up stiff joints, but does it actually fix anything or just feel good? Have you ever measured the results, like timing how long it takes to wash dishes with warm versus cold? I'm really wondering if this is a proven thing or just something people say.

Totally get that with the brush. It's like when I soak my oatmeal overnight, the texture is way better in the morning. I see this with a lot of little prep steps, like letting coffee grounds bloom before brewing. Even pre-wetting a sponge before cleaning makes it work better. Makes me wonder what other daily routines could be improved with a simple soak?

My grandfather used the same dry brush for decades and his shaves were just fine. I tried pre-soaking my own brush and ended up with runny lather that didn't hold up. It seems like an extra step that doesn't add real value. A quick rinse with cold water works perfectly for building a thick lather. Sometimes all this prep just overcomplicates a simple task. I get better results by focusing on technique rather than soaking time.
