My app crashed during a demo with a potential investor last week

I was showing off my startup's new booking feature at a coffee shop near John Wayne Airport. Right when I clicked to show the calendar integration, the whole thing froze and went black. I just laughed and said 'see, even our bugs are on brand for a tree service app.' The investor actually liked the honesty and asked for a follow up. Has anyone else had a demo go sideways like that?

Turned it into a chance to show you can roll with the punches. That's a good move, most people would panic and fumble through a recovery.

Did you ask him directly if he's ever had a product fail during a pitch himself? I feel like that kind of honesty can backfire with some investors if they think you're not taking quality seriously enough. But it sounds like this guy got that it's just bad luck, not a pattern. Did you follow up with any kind of explanation about what actually caused the crash? Like was it a memory leak or something with the calendar API? I'm curious how much technical detail you shared beyond the joke.
