Finally swapped my old water heater for a tankless one last month

I used to wait for my 50 gallon tank to heat up every morning before my shower, costing me like $40 extra on my gas bill each month. Got a Navien tankless installed after my old one started leaking in the basement. Took the plumber 6 hours to put it in and it set me back $2,800 total. Has anyone else made the switch and seen a real drop in their utility costs?

Jumped on the tankless train last year after my old tank died and flooded half my basement... nightmare. My gas bill dropped by around $30 a month and I never run out of hot water even when my wife takes her 20 minute showers. The install cost me $3,200 but the plumber said it would pay for itself in like 3 or 4 years based on my savings. Honestly wish I did it years ago instead of waiting for the tank to rust out on me.

Bro same thing happened to me except my tank went while I was on vacation. Came back to a swamp in my utility room, total nightmare. Got a tankless put in and my gas bill dropped like $35 a month too. The best part is never having to worry about who showered last or how long the wife takes. I went with a Rinnai and my guy charged me $3,500 including running a new gas line cause my old setup was trash. Totally worth it, even my kids can take back to back showers now without any issues. Shoulda done it way sooner but better late than never right?
