That Thursday back in 2019 when I saw 3 different loan officers in one day

I was house hunting near Portland and had three separate pre-approval appointments scheduled back to back... the first guy barely looked up from his computer, the second one printed out a rate sheet that looked like it was from 2015, and the third actually sat me down and explained the whole mortgage process like a human being. That last guy got my business because he wasn't just trying to push a number on me. Has anyone else had a wild day of shopping around where one person just stood out?

Oh man, 'overthinking it' - that's my middle name. Or at least it should be, right next to 'overanalyzing' and 'stressing about stuff that hasn't even happened yet.' But honestly, three loan officers in one day sounds like a normal Tuesday for me, except I'd probably forget my own name by the third one and just nod at everything. That third guy sounds like a keeper though - when someone actually explains things instead of just throwing numbers at you, it's like finding a unicorn in a mortgage broker's office. I'd probably show up with cookies for that guy on closing day, just to say thanks for not treating me like a walking credit score.
