Just realized that not double-checking dates for the Tunguska explosion nearly led me to a false belief.

Woah, that's a solid point. I always just assumed it was like the 1920s for some reason. You looking it up and finding the real 1908 date actually changes how I think about it. That's way earlier than I pictured, it feels almost medieval even though it's not. Makes you realize how easy it is to carry around a totally wrong fact in your head.
