I finally figured out what a weird mark on an old sign meant

It was a marker for a forgotten road from the 1800s. What history puzzles have you enjoyed solving?

Found an old metal tag marking a farm boundary with my friend.

My buddy Mike found a 1937 county line marker just rusting in a ditch last fall.

Those are usually called boundary markers, not just tags.
