Vent: A bride's mom told me I 'saved the day' after her updo fell apart

It was a wedding in Portland, and the humidity was insane, making the bride's hair start to drop halfway through photos. I had a tiny bottle of extra-hold spray in my kit and some bobby pins, and I fixed it in about two minutes flat. What's your go-to emergency fix for humidity disasters?

Honestly the real hero is the tiny sewing kit. A few clear threads can save a drooping neckline or a popped button way faster than anything else.

Always thought those kits were a waste of space until I had a button come loose at a wedding. @terryallen is totally right about clear thread being a quick fix. I keep one in my bag now.

My old kit from a hotel in Chicago has saved me at three different events now. The clear thread is basically invisible on dark fabrics too.
