Sorting through decades of gun blueing kits in the attic

I was cleaning out my attic last weekend and found a box of old cold blueing kits from the 80s. Back then, we used those kits all the time for touch-ups on customer guns. Nowadays, most shops have hot tanks or send out for professional finishes. This find had me recall how much simpler some jobs were, but also how much better the results are now. Still, keeping a cold blue pen around isn't a bad idea for quick fixes.

Ever find this with other outdated stuff? My old manual typewriter sits in the closet. Keyboards today are way faster and quieter. But pounding those keys made each word count, sort of like your blueing kits.

Miss my grandpa's hand-crank pencil sharpener.

That little metal shavings bin was half the fun. Parker_brown59 is right, you really had to put some muscle into those old things.
