Ditching my magnetic trays for a muffin tin saved my sanity during cleanups

I used to lose small parts all the time when cleaning multiple firearms. Now I drop each gun's pieces into separate muffin cups, and nothing gets mixed up. Why do so many smiths stick with expensive organizers when kitchen stuff works better?

I mean kitchen stuff works better until you knock over a muffin tin full of springs. Dedicated trays might cost more but they actually lock parts in place, idk seems worth it to me.

Remember that magnetic trays can mess up some small springs or pins if they're not meant to be magnetized. Muffin tins avoid that risk entirely since they're just plain metal or silicone. That peace of mind is worth more than any locking feature to me.
