Hot take: I thought 'growth hacking' was just a buzzword for shady tricks until I tried a simple email sequence that added 15k to my revenue last quarter.

Reminds me of how people dismiss things like meal planning or budgeting apps until they try one. They call it common sense or too simple to matter, but then actually tracking their spending for a month changes everything. We often give fancy names to basic, consistent actions that just work. Calling it "growth hacking" can sound silly, but the real result, that 15k, is what makes you a believer.

Yeah saw a blog post calling it "just doing the work with extra steps." Spot on.

A buddy of mine tried one of those fancy email growth tools his coworker swore by. Spent two weekends setting it all up with sequences and tags and whatnot. After three months he looked at the numbers and realized he could have just picked up the phone and called fifty people in half the time. The tool gave him reports and charts but the actual sales were the same as his old method. He quit the tool and went back to a simple spreadsheet and a daily call list.
