Showerthought: the menu design at this tiny diner in Akron changed how I think about type
Stopped at a place called Lou's Diner and their laminated menu just used one font, Futura, in three weights... it was so clean and readable. Has anyone else gotten inspo from something totally outside a design context?

Old gas station signs do that for me.

Actually those are called ghost signs! They're old painted ads on brick buildings. Gas stations have cool neon ones though.
