My client in Austin wanted a logo that felt 'hand drawn' but clean, and I was stuck for days.

I finally tried setting my sketch on a light blue background instead of white, and suddenly the pencil lines looked way more intentional. It solved the 'too digital' problem instantly. Has anyone else found a simple background color change that fixed a design?

Honestly that light blue background trick is genius. Did you try any other colors before landing on blue, or was that the first one that clicked?

Wait, you used a light blue background? I tried that exact shade and it made my text totally unreadable. Maybe my screen settings are just way off.

Yeah, a soft grey background did the same thing for me once, made a sketch feel way more organic lol
