I was stuck on a logo for a week, then my kid said it looked like a sad fish.

I flipped the whole concept upside down, literally, and the client loved the new direction. Anyone else have a moment where a fresh pair of eyes saved a project?

Remember that the fresh eyes don't always give you the answer. Sometimes they just point out the problem you already felt but ignored. My partner once called a layout I was fighting with "busy and sad," and I got defensive at first. But she was right, I was just trying to force a bad idea to work. The real fix was starting over on that part, not just tweaking it.

My last project had a similar moment. The client said the color palette felt "corporate and tired." I argued it was just clean design. After a week of small changes, I finally swapped the main blue for a warmer green. The whole thing clicked instantly. I was so stuck on my first choice I couldn't see the simple fix.

That reminds me of a logo I spent way too long on. The fix was just making the icon bigger, felt so obvious after.
